The Robinhood 33 features high bulwarked, recessed side decks for safe, secure movement fore and aft. The sliding helm side door gives the skipper quick deck access when docking or anchoring. Spartan bronze deck hardware includes four large bronze opening ports which provide outstanding ventilation. Choice of galley up or galley down arrangements. Flying bridge model available.

Designed for the cruising yachtsman who cherishes comfort and seakindliness in their choice of a vessel. From her rich interior finish to her well thought out hull design, the Robinhood 33 exemplifies the desires of those who have cruised aboard for extended periods and know what works.

Hull Design:
Clive Dent, noted Naval Architect of many Cape Dory models, designed the Robinhood 33 to perform in a variety of conditions. Her modified deep-V, hard chine hull gets up on a plane easily with minimal power. Superb seakeeping qualities in both beam and following seas. And, moderate deadrise aft, adds to stability at the dock and in a seaway. Designed for efficient use of moderate power, she'll cruise comfortably at an easy to handle 17 knots and top out at close to 20. Our trademark vented skeg allows excellent protection for the rudder and propeller, while allowing excellent water flow to them for improved effectiveness. The single screw 350hp diesel, coupled with bow thruster for ease of manueverability, is efficient, while making maintenance a pleasure. Engineered sound proofing of the entire machinery area creates a pleasant environment throughout the vessel while underway.

Layout:
Spacious and gracious best describes the interior of the Robinhood 33. As one enters the roomy salon, satin varnished teak is abundant, while the large, aluminum framed windows create an open feeling. The standard layout includes an L-shaped settee to starboard which is graced with a movable hi-lo folding dining table that converts to a coffee table. The port side is left open to accommodate choices of seating. The steering station is to starboard where the helmsman has excellent visibility and access to the deck via a sliding door. Below, the galley is to port where it is open above to the salon, a spacious feeling evolves. Great counter space abounds amidst conveniences such as double sinks, large undercounter refrigerator, and a two burner propane stove with oven. The head area includes a convenient vanity and a much sought after separate shower stall. The forward cabin has berths port and starboard that are wide, comfortable and easy to enter. A hanging locker, bureau and large shelves complete the master cabin. All floors are varnished teak and holly and bulkheads are satin varnish or high pressure laminate. Also, as all Robinhood Yachts are built one at a time, we welcome your layout ideas and are willing to include them whenever feasible.

Deck:
Despite the roomy interior, the Robinhood 33 still has a large and comfortable cockpit for relaxing and entertaining or fishing and diving. Conveniences such as transom door and swim platform are very desirable options. The decks are wide and recessed nicely which makes going forward safe and easy. Lockers on the foredeck, a wide bowsprit accommodating two anchors and a place dedicated for a windlass installation, are features to please the cruising yachtsman. With the options available, the exterior of your Robinhood 33 can be simple and maintenance free, or accented with finely crafted teak trim and painted with a hull color of your choice. Other options, such as a flybridge, teak decks and canvas go further to make your Robinhood 33 special.

Construction:

Each Robinhood Yacht is custom built at our waterfront yard in Maine by our highly skilled team of craftsmen. Modern technology and proven techniques of construction combine to ensure lasting value in every boat. Vinylester resins are used to prevent the hull blisters often found on older fiberglass boats. All stringers are foam cored for longevity, stiffness and lighter weight. Even our specially engineered skeg is built using unidirectional glass and carbon fiber construction for strength and rigidity. Whether planning for long distance cruising or short passages on your local bays, the Robinhood 33 will take you there safely in style and comfort.
